Mathematics

We cultivate a positive attitude towards maths by making it engaging and practical, connecting it to everyday experiences such as finding patterns in the environment or learning numbers through celebrations. Problem-solving and experimentation are encouraged, supported by hands-on materials and manipulatives.
Mathematical learning begins early, focusing on physical awareness, spatial concepts, patterns in books, and counting songs from infancy. As children progress, foundational concepts are revisited and expanded upon before introducing more advanced topics.
Parent and Child Workshops
It provide opportunities for families to engage in mathematical activities together, create resources for home use, and access educational materials from our Maths Hub library. These workshops, led by our Maths Lead and Family Worker, offer guidance on supporting mathematical learning at home using simple and cost-effective methods.
